Something wrong with your HVAC system?
Need help troubleshooting?
At Manatee, we’ve been buying, selling, and fixing properties for quite some time now in Bradenton.
Over that time, we’ve learned a thing or two about troubleshooting HVAC systems.
So we thought we’d offer a bit of advice here.
And just to be clear, HVAC stands for “heating, ventilation, and air conditioning” — so that’s what we’re talking about.
Here are some troubleshooting tips to try before you call a professional…
Air Filters — If your HVAC system isn’t running like it should, the first thing you should do is check the filters to make sure they don’t need replacing.
Vents — Make sure there aren’t any blockages at the air vents!
Thermostat — Your thermostat can be the source of your HVAC system. Change the batteries and/or make sure the temperature settings haven’t been changed.
Circuit Breakers — It’s also a good idea to check your circuit breakers. The HVAC system losing power is an easy problem to fix but an equally easy one to overlook.
Reset System — If the problem persists, try resetting your HVAC system. You’ll need to reference your owner’s manual to learn how to do this.
If all else fails, call in a professional.
